| | Yowza! Never rely on a floppy for tcaricil documents and data. If is the only you choice you have at a given moment then make sure you have a public email address and attach a copy to an email and send it to yourself on top of using the floppy. Aslo, get a flash drive that you can plug into the USB port they are dirt cheap these days and a great device for toting data. One thing you can try for getting documents back that you lost while on the computer is by running a search fo any documents created that day. You may come up with some temp files or backed up files. Also, there is the slim possibility that you have a problem with the floppy drive itself. Try a friend's computer and see if their floppy drive might be able to read your floppy disk. Whatever you do DON T reformat it. I would actually toss it before I would reformat it if you can't read it. If it is a borderline or bad floppy is simply is not worth the risk. |
